This is a referral website
Shellharbour Bathroom Renovations does not itself perform building, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling or asbestos removal work. Enquiries made through this site are passed to the licensed NSW builder we work in partnership with.
This website does not hold a builder's licence, and nothing on it should be read as claiming that it does.
The builder
Renovation work is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group, a licensed NSW builder. Licence and insurance details are provided on request.
Look the licence up on the NSW Fair Trading public register before any work starts, and ask for a current certificate of insurance. The register shows the licence holder, the class, the status, the expiry and any disciplinary action.
The builder provides the quote, signs the contract with you, carries out the work and is responsible for it. Any workmanship warranty comes from the builder, and so does any home building compensation cover the law requires.
What we do not promise
We do not claim that any contractor other than the builder named above holds a particular licence, insurance or accreditation, and we do not monitor insurance currency over time. Check the paperwork yourself, and ask for it again if work is deferred for a while.
We do not repeat the builder's own marketing claims, and we publish no review count, star rating, project tally or years-in-business figure, because we have none that we can substantiate.
Asbestos
A great deal of the older housing in Shellharbour City — particularly around Oak Flats, Mount Warrigal, Warilla, Barrack Heights and the established parts of Albion Park — was built with fibre cement sheeting, some of which contains asbestos.
We do not remove asbestos. A builder's licence is not an asbestos removal licence. Removal is carried out by a separately licensed asbestos removalist under NSW requirements, with a clearance certificate issued before other work resumes. If anyone proposes stripping out a pre-1990 bathroom without testing first, get another opinion.
Approvals, strata and funding
The builder can advise what is usually required for strata approval, council or certifier approval, or where flood, foreshore or bushfire planning controls apply. The decision belongs to your owners corporation, Shellharbour City Council or an accredited certifier. Nobody on this website can guarantee an approval or how long one will take.
Information on this site about residential tenancy minimum standards and about home modification funding is general. Landlords, agents and funding applicants should confirm current requirements with NSW Fair Trading or the relevant funding body. We cannot assess a person's mobility needs or determine funding eligibility — that belongs to an occupational therapist and the funding body.
What is behind the tiles
Rot, termite damage, failed pipework and the condition of floor framing cannot be confirmed until a room is opened up. Quotes deal with this through stated allowances and a documented variation method, not through guarantees.
Figures and timeframes
Guide figures appear on what it costs only, and are broad 2026 planning bands rather than quotes. Durations on stage by stage are typical ranges. Neither is a commitment about your job.
